FINDLAY, Ohio (May 18, 2017) – Rollins was unable to gain strokes on the leaders during day two of the NCAA Division II National Championship and fell to 11th at the tournament's midway point.

The University of Findlay is hosting the event at Findlay Country Club in northwest Ohio.

The Tars turned in a score of 327 and are now 70-over (646) for the tournament after Wednesday's 319. Dallas Baptist remained atop the leaderboard with a 23-over 610 behind rounds of 299-311. Barry is six-strokes back (309-307) with a 40-over 616 while Indianapolis is third with 619 (310-309) strokes.

Selin Timur and Paige Lyle are tied for 33rd to lead the way for the Tars. Lyle shot a seven-over 79 on Tuesday and jumped three spots after a first round 80. The senior started the second round with a birdie on No. 1 and ended the front at five-over. She was seven-over halfway through the back and then posted back-to-back birdies to get two strokes back. Timur added a round of 83 to her first round 76. She was even through the first four holes, but ran into trouble with a triple bogey on No. 5. She ended the front at six over and played the back five over.

Lexie Toth climbed eight spots on the leaderboard into a tie for 52nd with 164 strokes. She followed an opening round 84 with an 80 on Tuesday, featuring two birdies. Madison Lellyo is tied for 57th with a score of 166 (81-85). Seher Atwal was forced to withdraw due to an injury during the round and didn't record a round two score.

Rollins starts the second round three on Friday, May 19 on the back-nine starting at 9:45 a.m. and playing with Lee and Grand Valley State. Fans can follow the action live on

 Fighting through warm, windy conditions, Rollins began defense of its national title with a first round 319 at Findlay Country Club to sit ninth with three rounds left to play.

Second-ranked Dallas Baptist opened a 10-shot lead on the field with an 11-over 299. Top ranked Barry is second with 309 (+21) strokes while Indianapolis is a shot back in third (310, +22). The third ranked Tars are one back of Missouri-St. Louis and Augustana and one stroke ahead of Lee.

Rollins started its day on the back-nine where red numbers were rare for all teams.

Selin Timur is tied for 13th after an opening four-over 76 to lead the Tars. The freshman was one-over through the first six holes before closing the first nine with birdie-par-birdie. She found another birdie on the par-five first and moved atop the leaderboard. Timur then ran into a rough patch with four-straight bogeys and finished with a double to slide into a tie for 13th.

Senior Paige Lyle turned in an eight-over 80 and is tied for 36th to start her fourth NCAA National Championship Tournament. She was five-over at the turn and found some momentum on the next-nine, including a birdie on the par-5 fourth. Madison Lellyo is a shot back in a tie for 42nd with an opening round 81. The junior was three-over on the back-nine and played the front at six-over.

Freshman Seher Atwal shot 82 and is tied for 50th at 10-over par. Lexie Toth is tied for 60th after an opening round 84.

The University of Findlay is serving as host of the event at Findlay Country Club.
