NORMAN, Okla. (July 28, 2017) – Four Rollins men's golfers were honored as Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars, it was announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Seniors Jakob Van De Flierdt and Collin Engelhardt, junior Barry Babbitt, and sophomore Sam Grindle were each named to the list.

Van de Flierdt closed his career on the Sunshine State Conference Honorable Mention list, posting a 73.60 stroke average his senior year. He won the McDonough Cup with a six-under 210, carding rounds of 68-71-71, leading the Tars to the team trophy. Van de Flierdt graduated with a degree in International Business.

Engelhardt posted a victory at the Le Moyne Fall Invitational, beating the field by two strokes with rounds of 70-71. He carried a 76.96 stroke average on the year with two top-10 finishes. Engelhardt graduated with a degree in Business Administration.

Babbitt, a Mathematics major, completed his junior year with a 74.64 stroke average and one-top-10 finish. He shot a career low round of 68 at the Kiawah Island Invitational.

Grindle, also a math major, led Rollins with a 73.40 stroke average on the year, shooting 10 rounds of par or better. The sophomore tied for 12th at the Georgia College Bobcat Invitational behind a final round 67.

Rollins finished in the top-five in five events on the season, including victories at the Kiawah Island Invitational and McDonough Cup, en route to a NCAA Super Regional appearance.
