The Tars improved to 5-3, 1-1 in the Sunshine State Conference, while the Fighting Knights fall to 1-5 and 0-1 in conference.
The win was the second statistically dominant performance in-a-row now for Rollins, outshooting Lynn 66-17, 21-3 in the second quarter alone, and collected 49 ground balls compared to the Knights’ 35.
Senior co-captain Jack Dever led the Tars in scoring for the second consecutive game, scoring four goals and added an assist for five points. Freshman Nicholas Schultz also finished with four goals on the evening while classmate Jack Vonarb finished with two.
In goal, freshman Trevor Jackson recorded the win, making seven saves in his first career start.
Lynn did hold an early 1-0 lead in the first before Rollins came back with six unanswered scores, three by Schultz, over the next quarter and a half to take a 6-1 lead.
The teams would trade goals to end the half, giving Rollins a 7-2 lead at the break.
The Tars would account for the only two scores of the third before Dever opened the scoring in the fourth with a pair of goals to make it 11-2 with 10:23 left.
Rollins would outscore the Knights, 4-1, over the final seven and a half minutes to end the game in a final of 15-3.
