HOW IT HAPPENED:

Game One

·      Grant Ashline was driven in by Teddy Meissner and Peter Nicoletto hit his fourth bomb of the season to make the game 4-2 at the end of the third.

·      The Tars continued to chip away at the deficit and tied the game by the end of the fourth inning at four, thanks to two RBI by Isaiah Russell and Nick Breen.

·      Three fielding errors in the top of the sixth inning led to Eckerd scoring three unearned runs. Grant Ashline provided an RBI single in the bottom half of the inning, making the game 8-6 in favor of the Tritons

·      Eckerd pushed across an insurance run in the top of the seventh, putting the Tritons up 9-6.

·      The Tritons answered in a big way during the top of the third inning, teaming up for four timely hits to tie the game at four, including a 2 RBI single by Mitch Calandra that set up a sac fly later that inning.

·      Eckerd briefly took the lead in the top of the sixth inning thanks to a sac bunt.

·      Rollins quickly answered in the next half, scoring a run off an Isaiah Russell single, and taking the lead with another Peter Nicoletto two-run home run, his third bomb of the double header.
