SARASOTA, Fla. (April 2, 2017) – Playing in its second tournament of the week, Rollins finished fourth at the all-Division I Harvard Invitational, hosted in Sarasota.
The Tars shot rounds of 304-309-298 at the event to finish with a 47-over par score of 911. Princeton won with 894 (+30) strokes. Boston University (896) was two back in second and host Harvard (905) finished third.
Rollins finished head of Ivy League schools Penn, Yale, Dartmouth and Brown.
Senior Paige Lyle led the way for the Tars, finishing tied for seventh. She opened with rounds of 78-74 on Saturday and closed the event with a 74 to post a 10-over score of 226.
Selin Timur tied for the best final round score, shooting a career-best 68 Sunday and rocketing 20-spots up the leaderboard into ninth. The freshman shot 79-80 on Saturday before her big Sunday that featured four birdies and no bogeys.
Madison Lellyo tied for 18th with a 15-over 231, shooting scores of 74-77-80. Seher Atwal tied for 23rd after opening with a 74 and posting back-to-back rounds of 79 (232). Lexie Toth took 26th place after hanging an 18-over 234 (78-79-77).
Rollins started the week in Miami Lakes, earning a 10-shot win at the Barry University Women’s Invitational.
The Tars will close the regular season April 10-11 at the Georgetown Hoya Invitational in Poolesville, Maryland.
