WINTER PARK, Fla. (July 13, 2010) – Rollins junior Jordan Lewis won a regional qualifier and earned a spot in the 2010 Florida Open at Innisbrooke Resort and Golf Club in Palm Harbor on July 16-18.

Lewis shot an even par 72 at Southwood Golf Club in Tallahassee on June 28 to reach the Open.

All participants will play eighteen holes each on the Copperhead course and the Island course on Friday, July 16th and Saturday, July 17th. The field will be cut to the low sixty and ties after thirty-six holes. The final eighteen holes will be played on the Copperhead course.

Lewis will tee off at 9:18 a.m. on the Island Course to open the tournament.

Lewis transferred to Rollins from TCU and is a two-year member of the Tars men’s golf team. Playing an abbreviated schedule in 2009, he posted a 72.85 stroke average with two top-10 finishes. Last season, he carried a 76.35 stroke average with a top-10 finish.
