LAKE WALES, Fla. (February 20, 2012) - Rollins claimed its first tournament victory of the season, running away with a seven shot win at the Webber International Start 2 Finish Invitational. All five Tars in the 51 player event placed in the top-13.

The Tars carded rounds of 281-294-299 (874) at Lake Wales Country Club, outdistancing second place Coastal Georgia (881). Host Webber International (891) was second, followed by Saint Leo and Embry-Riddle to round out the top-five.

Hunter Stone led the way for Rollins, earning a fourth-place finish. He was the round-one leader after a four-under par 67, and posted rounds of 73-77 to finish with a four-over score of 217. Spencer Cole was a shot back in fifth place, shooting 73 in both rounds Monday and finishing with a one-over par 72 on Tuesday.

Davis Hall took 10th in the event, carding rounds of 70-74-77 for an eight-over score of 221.

Scott Lamb and Tyler Sluman tied with two others for 13th-place with scores of 224. Lamb turned in rounds of 74-77-73 while Sluman shot 71-74-79.

The victory was Rollins' first since winning the 2007 Bethune-Cookman College Invitational. During the 2011-12 season, Rollins has averaged a fifth-place finish in its six events, including this victory and a second place finish at the Rollins Invitational.

The Tars will be back in action Mar. 5-6 at the St. John's Caribbean Intercollegiate, hosted at Ponce Golf Club in Ponce Puerto Rico.
