SAINT LEO, Fla. (February 29, 2012) - After coming off a statement victory against Florida Tech, Rollins was unable to squeeze by Saint Leo in overtime, Wednesday evening, falling 11-10.

The first half saw both teams start out hot offensivley with the Lions outscoring the Tars 5-3 in the first, but Rollins stormed back in the second, outpacing Saint Leo 5-2 to take a one goal lead to the break.

Coming out of the break both teams struggled to find the success they had in the first half, as both teams combined for five goals in the half. 60 minutes of action would not be enough to settle this rivalry and would require a four minute overtime to settle things.

Again through the first three minutes both teams played even, but neither team could find the back of the net until the Lions were attacking late in the overtime period. Chris Caiazza took a shot and found the back of the net with 48 seconds left in the period, giving Saint Leo their second victory of the season.

Offensively, Will Diamond, Stephen DeFlumeri and Jack Dever tallied two goals apiece for the Tars, while Connor Galvin, Chuck Magid, Oliver Moore and Taylor White all notched one goal apiece. James Libutti continued his productive play with a team-high two assists.

Andrew Sheerin played the whole game for the Tars, facing 26 shots and racking up 15 saves.

Four players did the bulk of the scoring for the Lions, with two players notching three goals and another two tallying two goals. Patrick Berry was the hero for the Lions as he collected 14 saves on 24 shots to preserve the conference victory.

Rollins will hit the road for a three-game roadtrip with visits to Wingate, Queens and Lees-McRae before heading home for a pair of games.
