Host Mississippi and Baylor each turned in scores of 292 to lead the field. Missouri (298), Tulsa (302) and Southern Miss (303) round out the top-five.
Fabia Rothenfluh shot a six-over 78 and is tied for 45th to lead the Tars. She started the day with a double bogey on the 10th, but recovered with a birdie on the 14th to get back on track. The senior was two over at the turn and had five more bogeys on the front.
Elin Marcsdottir is a shot back in a tie for 55th after a first-round 79. She carded three-straight bogeys to start, and then suffered a double on the 13th. Next came 10 pars in a row before a birdie on No. 6 and a trio of bogeys to close.
Kayla Sciupider and Clara Teixeira each turned in scores of 80 and sit tied for 65th. Kelly Krusoe shot an 84 and is tied for 82nd. Kristen Garabedian carded an 85 and is tied for 85th place.
