Former Tar Jesse Hugo Takes 72nd at Boston Marathon

BOSTON, Mass. (April 16, 2012) - With scorching temperatures playing to his strengths, former Rollins cross country runner and current Assistant Director of Intramurals Jesse Hugo placed 72nd at the Boston Marathon on Monday.

The 2011 graduate ran the 26.2-mile race in 2 hours, 38 minutes and 23 seconds and was the top finisher from Central Florida.

More than 21,000 runners competed at the 2012 Boston Marathon.

Hugo was the Tars top-runner in his four-year career, earning MVP and Outstanding Senior honors in 2010. He currently serves as Assistant Director of Intramurals, assisting Nathan Arrowsmith will all aspects of rec sports while continuing to train for distance running.
