WINTER PARK, Fla. (May 1, 2012) - Coming off a stellar regular season, Rollins senior Spence Cole was named Second Team All-Sunshine State Conference, it was announced Tuesday.

Cole had five top-10 finishes on the year, including a trio of top-three places and one victory. In the fall, he had a breakout round at the Weber State Wildcat Invitational, tying for third with a two-under 214. Two weeks later, he closed the fall with a victory at the Rollins Invitational. Cole turned in rounds of 69-71-71 to finish five-under.

Cole was fifth at the Webber Intercollegiate, leading the Tars to victory, and took third at the St. John's Caribbean Intercollegiate, another event Rollins won.

The Greer, S.C. native leads the Tas with a 73.3 stroke average on the season.

Rollins will next compete at the NCAA Division II South Region Tournament May 7-9 at Rock Barn Golf Club in Conover, N.C.
