WINTER PARK, Fla. (August 22, 2012) - Behind two goals from sophomore Brenna McKee, 24th ranked Rollins rolled in an exhibition against Flagler, 4-0, at Barker Family Stadium.
The Tars dominated in shots with 16 compared to two by the Saints. Rollins took five corner kicks compared to one by Flagler.
McKee opened the scoring when she broke free on a clean break and chipped it just over the head of Flagler keeper Kaeta Choquette in the tenth minute.
The Tars weren't done in the first half, adding another when sophomore Taylor Thigpen beat Choquette just three minutes later to extend the lead to 2-0.
Rollins continued the onslaught in the second. Freshman Nikki Haimes snuck one just inside the left post 10 minutes into the half to push the lead to 3-0.
The exclamation point would then come in the 84th minute when McKee added her second goal of the evening off a Tars free kick taken by fellow sophomore Courtney Reddig.
Rollins will now prepare for the regular season when they hit the road for the first four games of the season. A trip to Denver to meet Metro State and Regis on Labor Day weekend starts the year and is followed by dates against West Florida and North Georgia Sept. 7 and 8th.
