WINTER PARK, Fla. (August 29, 2012) - Rollins veteran head coach Tom Klusman welcomes four Division I transfers to round out the 2012-13 Tars men's basketball roster.

Forward Adam Allen and guard Kyle McClanahan join the Tars after starting their careers under Billy Donovan at the University of Florida. Post player Lukas Winegarner comes to Winter Park from Radford University while Mitch Woods of Appalachian State gives Rollins another outside threat.

Allen was a four-star recruit coming out of Milton High School (Milton, Fla.) and endured an injury-riddled career in Gainesville. He played all 36 games his freshman year in 2007-08, averaging four points and 0.8 rebounds. The outside-shooting big man was injured in the preseason his sophomore year and again prior to his junior campaign. His final appearance for UF came on senior night in 2011. In high school, Allen became Milton's all-time leading scorer with 2,317 career points, 1,200 rebounds and 321 blocks. He was the 2006-07 Class 4A Player of the Year and runner-up for Florida Mr. Basketball.

McClanahan is a 2008 graduate of Winter Park High School and played 33 games with UF. He totaled 18 points, shooting 45 percent from the field and racking up four assists and four steals. McClanahan last played for the Gators in 2011, appearing in eight games. As a standout guard for the Winter Park Wildcats, he set a then-school record with 1,503 points and was voted the Class 6A Player of the Year in Orange and Seminole Counties while earning All-State honors his senior year.

Winegarner, a native of Sodertalje, Sweden, played two seasons at Radford, appearing in 48 games. He averaged 2.5 points and 2.3 rebounds per game for the Highlanders. Prior to his collegiate career, Winegarner was a member of the U18 Swedish National Team and helped his country to its first-ever Division B European Championship.

Woods was with Appalachian State for two seasons, playing in 38 games. He started eight games last season, averaging 2.1 points and one rebound per game. A native of southwest Florida, he was a standout player for the Community School of Naples, scoring 1,400 career points. In his senior year, Woods averaged 17.9 points, 5.5 assists and 5.5 rebounds a game, earning Class 2A Player of the Year and first team All-State honors.

Rollins will begin its 2012-13 season on Friday, Nov. 2 with an exhibition game at Wake Forest.
