KANSAS CITY, Mo. (September 4, 2012) - The Rollins men's soccer team jumped one spot to No. 17 in the first NSCAA/Continental Tire ranking of the regular season.

The Tars started the season with a 4-2 win over Embry-Riddle on Friday, then earned a 3-3 draw with then fifth-ranked Flagler on Monday evening. The Saints moved to No. 4 in the nation after the result.

Fort Lewis retained the No. 1 position, followed by Sunshine State Conference rival Lynn at No. 2. Franklin Pierce, Flagler and Seattle Pacific round out the top five.

Along with the Tars and Fighting Knights, Tampa at No. 10 and Saint Leo at No. 25 represent the SSC in the rankings. 

Rollins next heads to Pensacola, Fla. for a pair of key early season games. The Tars will face West Florida on Friday, Sept. 7 at 8:30 p.m. and then meet Young Harris on Sunday, Sept. 9. Fans will be able to catch all the action live on the Tars Sports Network at RollinsSports.com.
