WINTER PARK, Fla. (September 4, 2012) - Rollins standout Lauryn Falcone started her season in a big way over the weekend and earned the first Sunshine State Conference Runner of the Week, presented by VALIC.

The Somers, Conn. native posted a time of 19:31.24 over the 5K course at the University of Tampa Early Bird Classic, finishing fourth of 133 runners. She was the top SSC finisher, out-kicking Tampa's top runner in the chute.

Rollins cross country will be back in action on Sept. 14 at the Florida Southern Invitational in Lakeland.
