The Tars and Mocs will participate in two separate events with FSC serving as the home school on Saturday, Sept. 15 and Rollins taking over hosting duties Sept. 16. Competition is slated to begin at 9 a.m. each day.
Rollins is coming off a sixth place finish at the NCWSA Division I National Championship a year ago. The Tars were once again led by a stellar showing in slalom with the women finishing third and the men fifth.
The Tars will be without to of their top women's skiers in the opening weekend as both Delfina Cuglievan and Elizabeth Montavon are competing at the Pan Am Games. Cuglievan is representing her native Peru while Montavon is skiing for the United States.
The Rollins water skiers will be guided by veteran head coach Marc Bedsole, now in his 19th year leading the program. Still an avid skier, Bedsole recently won the Men's 4 Tricks national championships and will be competing at the World Championships this fall. He was the world runner-up at the event in 2010.
After the Rollins/FSC showdown, both teams will move on to compete at the NCWSA East Regional Championships in Tuscaloosa, Ala. on Oct. 5-7.
