BOCA RATON, Fla. (September 15, 2012) - An offensive explosion by Lynn University's Kirstie Schults proved to be too much for Rollins on Saturday afternoon, as the Tars dropped a 4-1 decision on the road.
The lone goal scorer for Rollins was sophomore Azure Dorsey who added her team leading fifth goal of the season in the 67th minute. Set up at the top of the box by a pass from fellow sophomore Taylor Thigpen from the back line, Dorsey rocketed a shot inside the post past Lynn keeper Meghan Dolan.
But the goal by Dorsey was too little too late as the Tars had already found themselves down 3-0 thanks to the hat trick from Schults.
Lina Forsman added the finishing touches for the Fighting Knights in the 81st minute when she found herself behind the Tars defense and flicked it just over the head of Tars keeper Mary Spring for the goal.
The Tars will be back in action Wednesday, Sept. 19 when they travel to Lakeland, Fla. to take on Florida Southern in a conference match up with kickoff set for 5 p.m. Fans can follow along with all the action live on the Tars sports network at RollinsSports.com.
