TAMPA, Fla. (September 29, 2012) - Riddled by injury, the 16th ranked Tars fell to the Tampa Spartans Saturday evening, 1-0.
The game's lone goal came in the 41st minute when Tampa's Brian Fekete played a cross in the box that Andrew Claire headed past Tars keeper Keneil Baker inside the far post. It was Clare's first goal of the season.
Both teams notched 19 shots apiece while Rollins took 11 corners compared to six for Tampa.
In the loss, Baker recorded four saves in 90 minutes. Freshman Grant Blackhurst registered four shots while Evan Greenbaum and Rob Crowley had three each.
