TAMPA, Fla. (September 29, 2012) - Rollins accomplished something that it hasn't done since 2008 Saturday evening, beating Tampa on the road 1-0.
Sophomore Laura Piedrahita's goal in the 35th minute was all the Tars needed, cruising the rest of the way behind a veteran led defense and solid keeper play.
Sophomore Mary Spring posted her third career shutout, recording a pair of saves.
In the win, Rollins outshot Tampa 7-6 while the Spartans took four corners compared to Rollin's zero.
