WINTER PARK, Fla. (October 1, 2012) - For the second time in two weeks and the fourth time on the season, Rollins' Lauryn Falcone was named Sunshine State Conference Runner of the Week, presented by VALIC.

Falcone ran a career-best time of 18:27.80 to finish second of 75 runners at the flrunners.com Invitational last weekend.  Her runner-up finish in the 5K race was her second of the season.  She was outpaced only by one runner from Division I UCF.  Falcone's performance helped the Tars finish fourth in the seven-team field.

On the season, Falcone has been named the SSC Runner of the Week each of the weeks Rollins has competed. She finished fourth in the first event of the year and has since recorded two runner-up finishes and a victory.

Rollins has its last regular season meet of the year on Friday, Oct. 12 at the UCF Black & Gold Invitational in Orlando.
