WINTER PARK, Fla. (October 10, 2012) - While not a victory, the Tars certainly picked up a result they can rest their hat on Wednesday with a 0-0 tie against 24th ranked Tampa.
Mary Spring recorded the shutout, the fourth of the year for Rollins (7-4-1, 4-1) and made seven saves.
Seniors Anita Cox and Whitney Rohrer had solid games in defense while Brenna McKee and Ali Schrader were solid in helping to generate offense in the run of play.
The Tars picked up the pressure in the second half with chances by Schrader and Kelsey Boone with Boone nearly earning the game winner when her shot at the end of the second period sailed just wide.
The Tars will be back in action Saturday, Oct. 12th when they host Saint Leo. Fans can follow along with all the action live on the Tars Sports Network on RollinsSports.com.
