KILLEN, Ala. (October 15, 2012) - Senior Scott Lamb shot a two-round score of 135 to lead the Rollins men's golf team to a second place showing after the first day of the TVA Credit Union Invitational hosted by the University of North Alabama.
Lamb shot an opening round of 69 and then turned in the best second round score of 66 to put him at a 9-under-par to lead the 77-man field.
Davis Hall tied for 12th with a 1-over-par 145 (73-72) while Tyler Sluman is tied for 19th with a 3-over-par 147 (74-73). Charlie Fitzgerald turned in scores of 76 and 74 for a 150. Thomas Gouveia is tied for 51st with a 156.
Columbus State leads the 15-team tournament field with a two-round score of 572 while North Alabama and Clayton State are tied for third. Carson-Newman College stands in fifth to round out the top five.
The Tars will conclude the TVA Credit Union Invitational Tuesday, Oct. 16 with the final 18 holes to play.
