ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (October 17, 2012) - No. 19 Rollins (9-3-2, 4-2-1) rallied back from an early one goal deficit Wednesday night to defeat the Eckerd College Tritons, 2-1, in double overtime.

Eckerd took the early lead in just the fifth minute when Nick Jackson recorded his second goal of the season. The play was set up on a free kick taken by Eduardo Juarez after a Tars foul just inside Rollins' defensive third.

Rollins found the equalizer in the 29th minute when senior Joe Crowley buried a deflected ball off of a Triton defender from point blank range. The goal was Crowley's second of the season.

Both teams would then go scoreless the rest of regulation, heading to overtime locked in a 1-1 tie.

It wasn't until the second overtime period that the Tars found the back of the net for the game winner. Freshman Grant Blackhurst played a through ball to a streaking Brett Durrance who had a step on his defender. Durrance was then able to slide it underneath Triton keeper Andrew Hoffer and into the back of the net for the goal.

Tars keeper Keneil Baker made six saves on the night, many of which were game saving coming towards the end of the regulation and in overtime.

The Tars will be back in action Saturday, Oct. 20th when they travel to Nova Southeastern for a non-conference match. Fans can follow along with all the action live on the Tars sports network at RollinsSports.com.
