WINTER PARK, Fla. (October 18, 2012) - 24th ranked Rollins (9-4-1, 6-1-0) sits in second in the South Region in the first regional rankings released, it was announced on Wednesday.
The Tars are unbeaten in their last eight, most recently a SSC road victory over Eckerd where Rollins overcame an early one goal deficit to win 2-1.
The Tritons took the early lead in the 31st minute but Rollins answered when senior Anita Cox converted her third penalty kick in as many tries before sophomore Taylor Thigpen added the game winner in the 65th minute from 25 yards out.
The Tars will be back in action Saturday, Oct. 20th when they travel to Nova Southeastern for a non-conference match. Fans can follow along with all the action live on the Tars sports network at RollinsSports.com.
