WINTER PARK, Fla. (October 27, 2012) - Fearing a letdown after clinching the SSC regular season crown last week, Saturday night's game was anything but for the 15th ranked Tars as they blanked Florida Southern in their final regular season game, 3-0, on senior night.

Fittingly, it was senior Ali Schrader who gave Rollins the first half lead, dribbling down the left side before slotting it inside the far post in the 20th minute. The goal was Schrader's fifth of the season, 21st of her career which is good for eighth all-time in program history, four back of a tie for sixth.

Neither side could get anything going for the next 40 minutes of gameplay until sophomore Brenna McKee found the back of the net in the 62nd minute. McKee poked the ball past Mocs keeper Erin Moseley before it deflected off the far post and in for her team leading ninth goal of the season. Junior Maddie Ginder was credited with the assist on the play.

Freshman Jessica Zogg would add the exclamation point in in the 72nd minute when her blast from outside the left side of the box was deflected through traffic and into the back of the net for her first goal in her Rollins career.

Tars keeper Mary Spring picked up her seventh clean sheet of the year, recording three saves.

The Tars will be back in action Friday, Nov. 2 as the number one seed of the SSC Tournament after clinching the regular season title last Saturday for the third time in program history. Be sure to check RollinsSports.com for game times and match-ups.
