KANSAS CITY, Mo. (October 30, 2012) - Winners of four in a row to close out the regular season, Rollins jumped up a spot in the latest NSCAA/Continental Tire polls to 14th, it was announced Tuesday.
Looking to finish the regular season strongly after clinching the SSC regular season crown a week prior, the Tars blanked Florida Southern 3-0 on senior night last Saturday, their final regular season game before heading into the conference tournament. Rollins will now serve as host of the SSC Tournament semifinals and finals Nov. 2-4 as the top seed.
There was a shake-up at the top this week with Armstrong Atlantic State taking over the top spot, followed by West Florida behind them in second. Last week's number one, Minnesota Sate-Mankato, dropped to third. LIU Post and St. Edwards round out the top-five.
The Tars will play the winner of the SSC tournament quarterfinal match between Lynn and Florida Southern on Friday, Nov. 2. If you can't make it to the game, you can listen live on the Tars Sports Network at RollinsSports.com.
