The Rollins Waterski Team has had an eventful summer, one which has produced a lot of awards.  Tars' skiers have competed in both the 2017 International Waterski and Wakeboard Federation World Under 21 Waterski Championships, and in the 2017 World Games.

Rollins had five participants in the IWWF World Under 21 Championships, which took place at Sentosa Waterski Club in Dnipro, Ukraine.  For the men Joaquin Angulo, Rafael De Osma, Taylor Garcia and Dorien Llewellyn all competed.  The event was highlighted by Garcia's Gold Medal performance in the Slalom, and silver medal performance in the Jump, and by Llewellyn, who managed a 13th place finish in Slalom, a silver in Tricks, and an eighth in Jumps, culminating in a silver in the overall competition.  On the women's side Natalia Cuglievan earned a silver in the Tricks category.

The World Games, which are taking place in Wroclaw, Poland, have seen three Tars' skiers represent their countries in events.  Joshua Briant took home the gold medal for Australia in Men's Trick event, while also competing in Men's Jump.  Erika Lang also found her way on the podium in Poland, earning a silver for the U.S.A. in the Women's Freestlye competition.  Cuglievan was the only Tar to compete at both events, finishing fifth in Women's Trick.

The Tars are coming off a successful season, in which they took fifth in the National Collegiate Waterski Association National Championship.
