WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 12, 2012) - The Rollins men's lacrosse team started out with an early lead against the Pfeiffer Falcons, but could not keep up the pressure, falling 15-4, Monday evening. Rollins falls to 2-7 on the season, while Pfeiffer improves to 5-3.

Pfeiffer scored the opening goal of the game halfway through the first half, but the Tars would respond with two consecutive goals to take an early 2-1 lead. Taylor White and James Libutti took the honors for the Tars and shifted the momentum towards the blue and gold. The Falcons would tally a late first quarter goal to draw the score even at two.

Connor Galvin scored 47 seconds into the second period, securing a one goal lead for the Tars that would last 47 seconds before Luke Grahnert scored for the Falcons, knotting it up at three. This would be the closest the Tars would keep it as Pfeiffer went on 12-1 run to end the game and secure the victory.

Chuck Magid joined Galvin, Libutti and White as the goal scorers for the Tars, while Stephen DeFlumeri tallied the lone assist on the afternoon. Defensively Rollins tried to slow the attack with two different goalies, but the duo of Andrew Sheerin and Ethan Enriquez could only muster two saves.

James Shepherd and Steven Tilmon led the way for the Falcons with the dynamic duo providing four goals apiece. In between the pipes, Hayden Kirk thwarted the Rollins attack all afternoon long, tallying 15 saves.

Rollins will welcome Colorado Mesa to Winter Park on Saturday, March 17 at 4 p.m. for their second to last home game.
