WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 17, 2012)- The fourth-ranked Rollins women's lacrosse team collected another win against a top ten opponent, Saturday afternoon, defeating No.8 Stonehill Lock Haven, 14-13 in overtime. Rollins improves to 9-0 on the season, while Stonehill falls to 2-1.

Both teams came into tonight's meeting with unbeaten records on the line and aspirations at moving up in the rankings with a victory. Rollins and Stonehill battled throughout the first half with the Tars taking the early lead before falling behind after the Skyhawks rattled off three quick goals to take the lead.

The Tars would respond and end the first half with a one goal lead and load of momentum built up. The second half was a mirror image of the opening half with both teams trading attacks and goals, but Stonehill scored on a free position shot from Kayla Green to knot the game up at 12 and forcing overtime.

Rollins again asserted themselves and controlled the extra six minutes with the Tars netting two goals and holding the Skyhawks to one to end the game with a 14-13 victory.

The Tars used the trio of Erica Pagliarulo, Sophie Townsend and Mo Imel as they combined to score seven goals with Pagliarulo netting a hat-trick. Rollins had 10 players make their mark on the scoresheet to round out the balanced attack.

Elyse De Lisle also proved to be the difference in the game with the net minder making a few keys plays to stop the Skyhawks from collecting definite goals. DeLisle racked up 12 saves including two in the overtime period.

Rollins will welcome the Bears of Lenoir-Rhyne to Winter Park on Thursday with game time slated for 7 p.m.
