WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 21, 2012) - The Rollins men's tennis team started off slow and was not able to make up enough ground against seventh-ranked West Florida, falling 6-3, Wednesday afternoon. The Tars fall to 9-6 on the season, while West Florida improves to 12-2.

The Tars fell behind early, losing two of the first three doubles matches with Jason Alabaster and Constantin Sturdza collecting an 8-4 win over Leandro Ferreira and Andrey Pozhidaev

Rollins looked to the singles matches to make up some ground against the Argos, but the Tars could only muster two wins in the last six matches. Lucas Jovita and Constantin Sturdza posted the victories with Jovita downing Kevin Ducros 6-0 in the first set, which later saw him retire. Sturdza had a strong, defeating Sean Gonnels 6-0, 6-3 to collect the other singles victory for the Tars.

Rollins will next host New York Institute on Saturday, March 24 in Winter Park.
