WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 30, 2012) - After a successful Alumni Reunion Weekend, the Rollins men's varsity and novice 8 will be competing in the historic San Diego Crew Classic this Saturday, March 31.  The crew classic is an action-packed, two-day, nationally acclaimed regatta.

The Tars will face some of the best competition from the across the country from some of the top tiered universities.  The last time a Rollins crew rowed at the event was six years ago when the Tars placed fourth in the men's Cal Cup "A" and were nine seconds out of first.

The San Diego Crew Classic began nearly four decades ago and has matured into the largest regatta in the world held for primarily eight-oared rowing shells.  The regatta provides a venue for high school junior programs, collegiate teams, master' clubs, and even Olympic-level competition.
