WINGATE, N.C. (April 10, 2012)- The Rollins men's lacrosse team placed three on All-Deep South Conference teams, it was announced Tuesday. Peter Harvey and Andrew Vossler were named to the second team, while Nick Scannapieco collected Honorable Mention nod.

Harvey was selected as a specialist for his work in the faceoff circle this year racking up 144 faceoff wins in his 232 opportunities. The Princeton, N.J. native led the DSC in ground balls per game with a 7.25 average. Harvey also tallied four goals and six assists to add another catalyst to the attack for the Tars.

Vossler a four-year letter-winner joins Harvey on the second team after once again anchoring the Tars defense. The long stick midfielder caused 10 turnovers and racked up 33 ground balls, while starting all 15 games for the Blue and Gold.

Nick Scannapieco was named Honorable Mention, marks his third year on the All-DSC squad. The Lower Gwynedd, Pa. native collected 31 ground balls and also forced 11 turnovers to help limit the attack. Scannapieco, along with Vossler, enjoyed their most dominant performance of the season against second-ranked LeMoyne when the Tars held the Dolphins to a season low five goals. LeMoyne on the season averages 11 tallies per game and still holds an undefeated record.

Rollins ended their 2012 campaign with a 3-12 record, which saw them tally wins against Florida Tech, Lees McRae and Colorado Mesa University.
