WINTER PARK, Fla. – Rollins softball head coach, Michelle Frew, has announced the dates for the 2013 summer skills camp.
CAMP DATES AND COST -
June 10-13 (4 Days)
* Camp runs from 9:00am - 1:00pm
CAMP DIRECTOR - Directing the camp is Michelle Frew, Rollins' Head Softball Coach. The 2013 season marks her 21st year as a head coach. In addition to leading softball programs to success on the field, she has also been running fun and successful softball camps for girls since 1994. Along with capturing her 700th career victory this season, Frew will lead the Tars to a 6th straight NCAA tournament which is the longest such streak among Florida schools. The team is a fixture in the national top 25 rankings, being ranked as high as seventh in the country in 2013.
CAMP STAFF - Coach Frew will be joined by players and coaches of the Rollins softball team. Rollins softball players excel in the classroom as well as on the field and have been honored by the Sunshine State Conference, the NCAA, and the National Fastpitch Coaching Association (NFCA) for both athletic and academic excellence.
EXTENDED STAY (Cost: Additional $75.00) - Campers may stay until 3:00 pm, an extra two hours, for a casual afternoon of games and softball. The additional fee covers all four days for the week.
*Note - Players should arrive dressed for play. Softball cleats or sneakers, hat, glove, and softball pants or shorts are required. Campers are encouraged to bring any additional equipment (Catcher's gear, bat, helmet, etc.) that they may have. Campers will break for a snack each day. Campers may bring a snack and drinks or purchase one at the camp store.
