VALDOSTA, Ga. (May 7, 2012) - The Regional Final between fourth-seeded Tars and top-seeded Valdosta State will resume Monday at 10:30am E.T. after play was suspended Sunday evening due to inclement weather.
The game will pick up with Valdosta State and Rollins in a scoreless tie in the top of the third inning with the Blazers' Angela O'Conner leading off.
With the double elimination format, Rollins would have to defeat Vadosta State twice to earn the super-regionals bid. Game two is tentatively set for 2:00pm E.T. if necessary.
Winners of the South Regional Tournament will advance to the super-regionals May 11-12. The finals will be held May 16-19 at Knights Field in Louisville, Ky., and will be hosted by Bellarmine and the Louisville Sports Commission.
