CONOVER, N.C. (May 7, 2012) - Scott Lamb shot even par 72 to lead Rollins to a tie for fourth after day one of the NCAA Division II Super Region Tournament.
The Tars are just five shots off the pace with Florida Tech's 286 leading the way. Lynn (288) is second while Barton (290) sits third.
The top five teams and the top two players not with a team from each regional will advance to the finals May 15-19, at The Cardinal Club in Simpsonville, Kentucky as part of the 2012 Division II Spring Championships Festival.
Lamb started the day with a birdie on the first hole and played par golf until a bogey on the seventh. Hitting the turn even, he dropped a stroke after a bogey on No. 10 but quickly got it back with a birdie on No. 12. This score is tied for 19th, four shots back of leader J.P. Griffin of Georgia Southwestern.
Spencer Cole, Tyler Sluman and Hunter Stone each shot one-over par scores of 73 and are tied for 29th. Davis Hall turned in a score of 77 and is tied for 71st.
