We woke up this morning to mountains and the beautiful lake in Bled, Slovenia. Considering the short amount of time we were allotted to spend in Bled, a few girls from the team decided to get up earlier and explore the town before we were scheduled to leave for Vienna, Austria. The town was small with lots of little shops and restaurants around the lake. The town had a castle on top of a hill that looked over the lake. It was about a 15-minute walk up to the castle and then a 10-minute walk back down and boy was it worth it! The view of the town was gorgeous and it gave us a little exercise for the morning to get us going before our four-hour drive to Vienna! We packed up the vans and left Bled around 11 a.m.

After a not so long four-hour drive to Vienna, we checked into our hotel and went straight to sightsee. Vienna is such a beautiful city with lots of buildings that are new and old. After all deciding to meet at the cathedral later, we all were on our own for lunch and shopping until we met up again for dinner later. Vienna was so fun and interesting to explore. We later met up for dinner and had wiener schnitzel and roasted potatoes...yum! Of course, as always, we decided to get some gelato after dinner as we explored the city a little more before heading back to the hotel. It was a long day of travel and sightseeing around Vienna, leaving us pretty tired. Although our time in Bled and Vienna was short, we all really enjoyed both the beautiful cities! Back to the states tomorrow.
