LA JOLLA, Calif. (March 7, 2013) - The sixth ranked Tars (5-4) continued their west coast trip on Wednesday, cruising to a 9-0 victory over the University of Hawaii at Hilo at the Northview Tennis Courts in La Jolla, CA.

The assault began with a sweep of all three doubles matches. First the duo of Will Kwok and Jason Alabaster bested Tom Greer-Smith and Kainoa Rosa of UHH, 8-3, in No. 1 doubles.

Sebastian Hafner then paired with Ari Davis and Adrian Di Felice teamed with Cooper Maxwell in wins in No. 2 and No. 3 doubles repectively. Hafner and Davis defeated Spencer Travalino and Michael Davis, 8-6, while Di Felice and Maxwell downed Caden Yamamoto and Makoa Rosa, 8-1.

Rollins also swept all six singles matches Wednesday. Kwok (No. 1 singles), Di Felice (No. 4), Hafner (No. 5) and Maxwell (No. 6) each picked up their second wins of the day while Robin Marchione (No. 2) and Malte Christesen (No. 3) joined in with singles wins of their own. Marchione beat K. Rosa 6-1, 6-0 while Christesen defeated Spencer Travalino 6-1, 6-2.

The Tars will be back in action Friday, Mar. 8 when they close out their west coast trip against Sonoma State. Play is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m.
