SKILLMAN, N.J. (August 12, 2013) - For the second consecutive season, Rollins men's tennis was named an ITA All-Academic team, it was announced Monday.

The Tars were one of 29 squads honored on the list, which recognizes teams with a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher. Men's Tennis earned a combined 3.38 in the spring semester, sixth best among Rollins’ teams.

Three players were named ITA Scholar Athletes; Ari Davis, Will Kwok, and Malte Christesen.

In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must meet the following criteria: 1.) be a varsity letter winner, 2.) have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and 3.) have been enrolled at their present school for at least 2 semesters (including freshman through senior year).

Kwok has already been named an ITA All-American, along with his doubles partner Jason Alabaster, earlier this year.

The Tars finished the year ranked ninth in the final ITA Division II rankings after posting a record of 13-10 for the season and finishing third at the Florida Blue Sunshine State Conference Tournament.

The 2013 fall season kicks off Sept. 13-15 at the Embry-Riddle Invitational.
