JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (August 24, 2013) – The Rollins men's soccer team battled back to draw with North Florida in Saturday night's exhibition, erasing deficits of 2-0 and 3-2, finishing in a 3-3 tie at Patton Park.
The Tars fell behind early as the Osprey’s sophomore Alex Morell found the back of the net just 30 seconds into the match.

In the 18th minute, Morrell would strike again. The sophomore made his second shot of the night count, giving North Florida a 2-0 lead.
Rollins countered with a goal by sophomore Tucker Hume in the 22nd minute before a Rafa Faria score tied the match at 2-2 in the 31st minute.
North Florida regained the lead in the 39th minute. Jean Rivaroli gave the Ospreys' their second lead of the night as the sophomore put a ball in the back corner of the net. The two teams went into intermission with the Ospreys holding on to a 3-2 lead.
In the second half, the Tars tied the match in the 69th minute. After a ricochet off the right post, sophomore Grant Blackhurst was able to corral the ball and drive it into the net, tying the score at 3-3. Both teams would go scoreless the rest of the way, ending in a 3-3 final.
On the night, Rollins outshot North Florida 15 to nine. The Tars took six shots on goal with the Ospreys taking four. Rollins took nine corner kicks compared to two by UNF.
The Tars open the 2013 regular season with a match on the road at Embry-Riddle on Saturday, Sept. 7. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
