WINTER PARK, Fla. (February 1, 2014) – Rollins won five events and finished the regular season strong, beating Lynn 121-80 at the Alfond Pool on Saturday.

Christine Bianco had a hand in two wins to lead the Tars. The senior won the 100-yard butterfly in 1:01.18 and swam a leg in the 200-yard freestyle, joining Rocio Henriquez, Callie Singleton and Maddie Minetree to post a time of 1:45.88.

Minetree also won the 100-yard freestyle, stopping the clock at 57.12. Chandler Armistead was second in 59.21 and Rachel Cover third in 59.52.

Grace Alexander was first in the 1000-yard freestyle (11:01.68) and runner-up in the 500 (5:29.89). Hannah Sneden took second in the 1000 (11:23.39) and third in the 500 (5:32.73).

Audrey Kula was the Tars other winner, taking the 50-yard freestyle in 25.42. Henriquez was third with a time of 26.28.

Singlton also added a runner-up finish in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:02.48 and Armistead was runner-up in the 200-yard freestyle (2:05.82). Rollins also saw second-place finishes by Kylie Klotzbach in the 400-yard IM (5:00.90) and Katie Gentsch in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:12.40).

Prior to the start of competition, Rollins honored seniors Alexander, Bianco, Gentsch, Singleton, Scott Barbee, Andrew Johnson and Brian Sanborn.

The Tars men swam an exhibition during the day. Henry Chatauvert won the 50-yard freestyle (24.05) while Garrett Graham took both the 100-yard freestyle (54.72) and 100-yard breaststroke (1:02.97).

Rollins will be back in action Feb. 19-22 at the 2014 Sunshine State Conference Championships, hosted at the Orlando YMCA Aquatic Center on International Drive.
