WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 7, 2017) – Rollins dropped another decision to a Division I opponent, falling by a score of 5-2 to Belmont on Tuesday afternoon.  With the loss Rollins falls below the .500 mark at 3-4 on the year.  The Bruins improve to 6-7 in their 2017 campaign.

Rollins won two out of three doubles matches, earning them one point under Division I rules.  Ahmed Albitar and Daniel Ferl cruised out of the first position, taking a 6-1 win.  Sami Kirberg and Ziad Melhaoui earned the Tars second doubles victory, besting Bruno Russo and Vincent Sterkens 7-5.

Belmont recovered to take five of the six single matches played.  The Tars lone winner was Cody Gubin who defeated Russo 7-6 (7-4), 6-3, playing out of the sixth position.

The Tars continue their home stand Friday when they host the Wayne State Warriors.  First serve is scheduled for 3 p.m.
