PALM DESERT, Calif. (March 17, 2017) – Rollins finished its Southern California spring break trip with a score of 310 to tie for second at the Augustana Spring Fling.

The Tars turned in scores of 307-310 for a 41-over score of 617, matching that of CSU San Marcos. UIndy won the event with a 23-over 599. Augustana hosted the tournament at Classic Club in Palm Desert, California.

Paige Lyle and Lexie Toth led the Tars tying for second place with five-over scores of 149. Toth shot scores of 72-77 while Lyle, who played as an individual and didn’t factor into team scoring, turned in rounds of 74-75.

Selin Timur tied for seventh with a nine-over 153, shooting scores of 77-76 while Madison Lellyo was a shot back in a tie for ninth (154) two rounds of 77.

Individuals Julie Steinbauer and Sara Riascos both posted top-15 finishes for the Tars. Senior Steinbauer shot an 11-over 155 (78-77) and tied or 12th while Riascos was alone in 14th with 156 (80-76) strokes.

Seher Atwal took 28th place with 161 strokes, shooting rounds of 81-80.

Individual Shyanne Lovan tied for 32nd with a 19-over par 163 after rounds of 80-83. Fellow individual Julia Malone took 36th with scores of 83-81 (164). Viviana Vazquez tied for 40th with rounds of 86-80 (166).

Rollins is back in action March 27-28 for the Barry Buccaneer Invitational in Miami Lakes, Florida.
