WINTER PARK, Fla. (June 8, 2017) – Rollins standouts Brad Case, Christopher Corbett and Peter Nicoletto were tabbed All-South Region by the American Baseball Coaches Association, it was recently announced.

Each of the trio earned spots on the Second Team All-South Region.

Case went 5-5 on the year with a 3.57 ERA in a team-high 90.2 innings. The sophomore punched 102 strikeouts, ranking third in the Sunshine State Conference and 19th nationally, to just 20 walks. Opponents hit .242 against the big right-hander who was also named First Team All-SSC earlier in the year.

Corbett was also an All-SSC First Teamer and led the Tars with a .349 batting average- 24th best in the league. The senior totaled 10 doubles, three triples and nine homeruns while striking out just 19 times in 152 at bats. Corbett was solid behind the plate, with only two errors and four passed balls in 40 games. At the 2017 Tommy Awards, he was honored with the SAAC Phil Roach Sportsmanship Award for his dedication to Rollins Athletics.

Nicoletto was the Rollins 2017 Male Athlete of the Year for a banner senior season. A First Team All-SSC member, he hit .338 and was one of two players to start all 50 games this season. Nicoletto scored a team-high 50 runs, which also ranked 11th in the SSC. He led the conference and was fifth in the nation with nine triples, tying for the SSC all-time record with 25. On the year, he racked up 36 extra-base hits, including 11 home runs, and totaled 42 RBIs. Nicoletto also earned a nod on the D2 Conference Commissioner's Association All-South Region team.
