NORFOLK, Va. (June 21, 2017) – Four Rollins swimmers have been named College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America Scholar All-Americans.  For the women's program Grace Hansen and Taylor Wilks received the honors, with Makenzie Grider earning Honorable Mention.  Benjamin Gebauer picked up an Honorable Mention nod for the men's team.

Wilks and Hansen both advanced to the NCAA Division II National Championship this year, marking the first time in program history that the Tars have sent multiple swimmers to the event.  Wilks competed in the 100 Yard Breaststroke at Nationals, while Hansen took to the pool for the 400 Yard Individual Medley and the 200 Yard Butterfly.

All four honorees broke school records under first year head coach Kyle Berg.  Hansen hold the fastest times in the 400 Individual Medley, and as part of the 200 and 400 Medley Relay teams, Wilks in the 200 Individual Medley, the 100 and 200 Breststroke, and as part of the 200 and 400 Medley Relay teams, and the 200 Freestyle Relay team, Grider in the 500 Freestyle, and Gebauer in the 100 Freestyle, and as part of the 400 Medley Relay.

The CSCAA selected a record 997 swimmers and divers for its Scholar All-America teams.   The selections recognize students that have achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and have participated in their respective NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.
