WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 5, 2012) -  The Rollins sailing team took to the waters of Lake Virginia for their home regatta and South Points #2.

Out of nine teams in the field the Tars were able to judge the conditions perfectly and sail home to a second-place finish. Wind conditions were ripe for perfect sailing with a steady southwest wind that ranged from 12-17 mph with the occasional gust over 20 mph.

The waters of Lake Virginia were busy with a total of 20 races with the Tars competing in both the A and B division. Ian Nora (skipper) and Caroline Leed (crew) took the honors of sailing in the A divison for Rollins, while Jason Limbach (skipper) and Emily Nys (crew) sailed for the Tars in the B division.

Rollins will head to St. Petersburg for their next regatta on March 10th.
