WINTER PARK, Fla. (April 12, 2012) - The Rollins men's and women's rowing teams will take part in the 2012 Florida Intercollegiate Rowing Association (FIRA) State Championships this Friday, April 13 in Sarasota.

The race will take place at Benderson Park and will be the first time in a number of years that the full length of the course will equal out to 2,000M.  The course has taken four years to come into fruition, and is still in its infancy, but will have an 8-lane buoyed course.

In Friday's scheduled events, Rollins will compete in eight of the 12 races, which will begin at 5:30 p.m.  Saturday will bring a full day of racing that is slated to begin at 8:30 a.m.
