ORLANDO, Fla. (September 25, 2012) - On an early Sunday, Sept. 23 morning, the Rollins men's and women's swim teams lent a helping hand at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida Ride-4-Ronald event.
More than 700 cyclists were in attendance for this year's event, which is in its third year. The Tars assisted in all aspects, which included setting up tables, sound systems, back racks and ice down drinks for the event. The Tars were at the event, ready to work at 4 a.m.
"The Ronald McDonald House of Charities is a great cause and helping out the second time around was even better than the first," said head coach Dr. Rich Morris. "The team had a great time working this event; it's a great way to get out in the community and spread the word about Rollins swimming while helping out those in need."
The Ride-4-Ronald is a bike ride benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida that has helped provide a home-away-from-home for over 15,000 families.
