WINTER PARK, Fla. (May 9, 2012) - In two days, one of the biggest regattas known to crew will take place in Philadelphia, Pa. on the waters of Schuylkill River. The women's Novice 4, along with the men's Novice 8 and Varsity 8, will compete at the Dad Vail Regatta.
The men's Varsity 8 will be the first race of the day for the Tars beginning at 11 a.m. The women's Novice 4, who's ranked ninth out of 54 boats, will race at 3:18 p.m. The final race of the day for Rollins will be the men's Varsity 8 at 4:52 p.m.
In order for each of the Rollins boats to advance to Saturday's events, the women must finish in the top-2 while the men need a top-3 performance. All three crews have prepared throughout the season for the task ahead of them.
If any alumni are in the Philadelphia area, the team will have a Rollins Alumni tent located by the finish line at spot #9, which can be easily spotted by the Rollins banner and flag.
The Dad Vail Regatta is a two-day event. For updates, check out the Tars Sports Network at RollinsSports.com.
