GAFFNEY, S.C. (February 12, 2012) - In the final game of the opening weekend on the road, Rollins fell to third-ranked Limestone, 22-3, Sunday afternoon. The Tars fall to 0-2 after hitting the road against tough region competition.

The trio of Stephen DeFlumeri, Connor Galvin and Chris Ross netted one goal apiece with DeFlumeri picking up an assist with Chuck Magid. The offense was never able to get on track with the Tars being held off the scoreboard in the second period, while the Saints tacked on four goals to take a 10-1 lead at halftime.

Rollins would use three goalkeepers to try and slow the attack from Limestone down, but the Saints pressed on, outscoring the Tars 12-2 in the second half. Andrew Sheerin, Ethan Enriquez and Ian Flick combined to tally 12 saves.

Peter Harvey had a game-high 12 faceoff wins and helped the Tars draw even with the Saints with 15 faceoff wins apiece. The Tars also held the advantage over the Saints in extra-man opportunities with the Tars converting on once chance, something Limestone struggled with.

Limestone held a significant advantage on the shot chart with 59 attempts at the cage, while forcing the Tars into 31 turnovers to help seal the victory. Riley Loewen helped pace the Saints offense with six goals, while Shayne Jackson tallied eight assists to help fuel the attack

Rollins will take a break before hitting the road again to play Florida Southern on February 22nd.
