Rollins College Athlete of the Week: Marissa Giannerini
Women's lacrosse midfielder Marissa Giannerini has been named this week's Rollins College Athlete of the Week taking the No. 9 Tars past Edinboro on the road and falling short to No. 2 Lock Haven.
Giannerini found the back of the net five times on the weekend. Against second-ranked Lock Haven, she knotted up the score on two occasions posting the first goal of the game, and another to tie the score at 5-5 with 1:28 left in the first. In Sunday's game against Edinboro, Giannerini led the team with three goals.
